I have redirected this to Category:Grooming cats (and Category:Licking cats, through a "see also" link), because I felt "washing" connoted people bathing cats more than cats "washing" themselves. The same can be said about "grooming", of course, but I think that word is more often used when animals clean themselves (or each other). - dcljr (talk) 09:50, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
