The name "Vietnam War" shows an extreme point of view. As far as I know, mostly older white, conservative, male citizens of the USA call it "Vietnam war". It was an unprovoked (en:Gulf of Tonkin Incident) war of aggression to suppress elections. Outside the USA, it is called "US invasion of Viet Nam", "US-Vietnam war" or something like that.
