I don't agree with the namechange as Dutch people would be looking for Dom church, and wouldn't even know what the (perhaps) official name is. Perhaps Dom church, Utrecht or similar would be a better name, but keep the "Dom" bit in. Thanks. Deadstar (msg) 11:03, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Cf. similar cats in Category:Cathedrals in Germany, where in most cases (and everywhere for the protestant ones) the word dom is used (without any objections, as far as I know) .Fransvannes 20:38, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Quite so. I have never heard of a Cathedral of St. Martin in Utrecht, and I have lived there for five years. I have had lectures in a building in a street called "Achter de Dom" ("Behind the Dom"). It's irrelevant whether this is the official name. And I think it is highly unlikely that this is the case, since it is a protestant church, and they don't have cathedrals. I agree with MartinD, move the pictures into this category and turn the other category into a redirect. Multichill 21:57, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've raised this point in the Village Pump, and nobody seemed to object. So I'm going to (again) add the cat Utrecht Dom church to those 26 pics. MartinD 08:24, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I even kept the reference to the incorrect cat, so nobody cat accuse me of religious intolerance.;) MartinD 08:38, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it is St. Maarten. See nl:Dom van Utrecht and learn something new about your own city! 75.41.110.200 23:04, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
