Is this category about the traditional clothing of Leksand?
[edit]Hjart: Is this category about the traditional clothing of Leksand?
- If no: please add a definition in which way it is different from the traditional clothing of Leksand.
- If yes: The name of this category should be Category:Traditional clothing of Leksand, see Commons:Categories for discussion/2020/07/Category:Traditional clothes by country. The conclusion was that all categories about traditional clothing should begin with "Traditional clothing of ...".

- @JopkeB: I've just plain named it after the corresponding Swedish article, which I've linked to through Wikidata (See the infobox or the link in the lower end of the sidebox). You're welcome to rename the category as you see fit. --Hjart (talk) 06:55, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Hjart: Thanks for your quick answer. On Commons category names should be in English unless there is a good reason to do otherwise. So I'll rename this category to Category:Traditional clothing of Leksand. --JopkeB (talk) 10:58, 24 December 2021 (UTC) Done
- I see a lot of images in Category:Traditional clothing of Dalarna that has "Leksand" in the name (16 files in total). Do they also belong in Category:Traditional clothing of Leksand? If yes: Please transfer them, OR remove them from Category:Traditional clothing of Dalarna if they are already in Category:Traditional clothing of Leksand. --JopkeB (talk) 11:10, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- @JopkeB: Sorry, noticed your last question, only now. I've been working my way through a giant list of uncategorized media uploaded through Danish, Norwegian and Swedish for a year now and in that process created this category, because I found a small number of images used in the Swedish article. I haven't had a deeper look at what else was in Category:Traditional clothing of Dalarna and didn't really encounter many other examples of folkdräkter, so I didn't have much experience there.--Hjart (talk) 11:28, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- @JopkeB: I'm quite familiar with Commons, thank you. In my experience some people take the idea of English category names way too far though.--Hjart (talk) 11:19, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
