Standards logos vs Conformity marks

[edit]

Standards logos have not be confused with Conformity marks:

  • Standards logos are logos related to the compliance with a particular standard
  • Conformity marks are related to the compliance with a law or a set of laws (e.g. related European Directives and Regulations for CE Marking) or some other requirements that are not necessarily standards.

IMHO, we can assume all Standards logos are also Conformity marks, because a standard logo is a conformity mark declaring the conformity to a particular standard. For example, these are standards logos (clearly associated with a particular standard):

Some pictures now in this category are instead logos of organisations for standardisation; they could be conformity marks (if are used in products label in this way), otherwise they have to be moved in Category:Standards organizations or in a new Category:Logos of standards organizations.

Please share you opinion or suggestion about it. Thanks. Ensahequ (talk) 03:43, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
