Doorknobs and handles

May I politely ask why you have reverted my reference to the door handle, in addition to the doorknob, as a means to actuate this type of door lock? While in the UK or US doorknobs arguably are more popular than handles, in other areas (e.g. Germany) it's the other way round, and I feel technically either is perfectly legitimate, so from a NPOV both should be mentioned.
