Rhodocybe mundula as synonym of R. popularis
[edit]My information is that Rhodocybe mundula and Rhodocybe popularis are two distinct species (though very closely related). Funga Nordica,[1] Eyssartier,[2] Courtecuisse[3] and Moser[4] define them as separate species, Eyssartier with different photos. Bon gives them as separate but mentions without further details that they are sometimes synonomized.[5] Species Fungorum makes them two species.[6][7] So for me they are separate and I intend to make some changes accordingly. As a further complication they both now seem to be changing to genus Clitocella.
@User:Thiotrix: I would be interested to know if you could shed light on the reason for putting them as synonymous.
