Change to Eurytides

[edit]

This page and all of the links on it need to be corrected from "Protographium" to "Eurytides". The placement of this species under the genus Protographium is not accepted anymore (and never was by most authors), based on DNA and on morphological grounds, and the most often seen treatment is to place it within subgenus Neographium (of which E. philolaus is the type species) under the genus Eurytides. Or, some place it as a separate genus "Neographium".

I am not the best candidate for making these corrections, since I have not done much of this "cleaning up" yet to date, and I might well miss something important, or make a mistake.

For consistency, this species, and all related articles, etc. should be placed under Eurytides with it's closest relatives. Included in corroborating citations are most of the ones already given at the Wikipedia page for Eurytides philolaus. David Ferguson (talk) 00:56, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
