Redundancy of this category

[edit]

I think this category is redundant. Every city and village should be under its respective municipality's category. I would delete it. --Unai Fdz. de Betoño (talk) 21:48, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No és redundante. --Zarateman (talk) 23:36, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If we talk in english more people can give their opinion. I think that the problem is exactly the administrative concept you mentioned. Neither "city" nor "village" are administrative names in Araba. And it has no sense to mix Vitoria-Gasteiz and Tresponde in the same category. And Bellojin, on the other hand, is not even a council. This category is a very messy one.--Unai Fdz. de Betoño (talk) 10:33, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The same argument should be applicable to every Spanish province and every under-State entity of any other country. The category isn't messy at all: its sense and opportunity are obvious. "City" and "village" are merely generic names to refer any kind of locality, no matter its size or legal denomination. The question should be, in that case, the validity of the category name "Cities and villages", in Commons as a whole.--Zarateman (talk) 21:39, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
