Proposed move

[edit]

This proposal is nonsensical. The genus Piranga is a very widely-known and important genus of birds in two continents, North and South America; as a category, it has 7 subcategories, potentially rising to 11 subcategories when all of the species have photos. Conversely, the Brazilian place of Piranga is a very minor district (one of over 850 in the state of Minas Gerais alone), with no subcategories and just one file, a bot-generated map; no photos. The category was formerly a bot-generated category for the district, which I moved to Cat:Piranga (Minas Gerais) to match many other similarly-titled Minas Gerais districts. The bird genus is by far the more significant of the two, and should never have been relegated to second place originally. - MPF (talk) 10:37, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Restored the disambiguation. If you want to waste more time, Commons:Categories for discussion is the place to be. Multichill (talk) 18:46, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
