miocene conglomerate

[edit]

@Hornstrandir1: I'm not sure about the exact geology - are you sure that Paglia Orba also consists of Miocene Conglomerate? I thought it was just Permian (possibly including adjacent Carboniferous or Triassic). I just realise that in the fr and en WP, also Miocene is mentioned in the infoboxes (without source) - did you categorise because of those sources? Guess we'll have to check also these WP articles. --Kuhni74 (talk) 11:59, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Ye[reply]

Yes, I just used the sources you mentioned. Could be an idea to check also by using others.Hornstrandir1 (talk) 12:07, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot for the quick reply, I just left a note on w:fr:Discussion:Paglia Orba#Miocène. The en-WP has been translated from fr-WP. If I understand correctly, the Permian rocks were lifted and eroded during the Miocene, so the current shape of the mountain formed in Miocene (and of course also later) times. --Kuhni74 (talk) 12:34, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
