Old vs Historic
Some subcategories begin with "Old ...", other with "Historic ...". Is this an intentional difference, or should we unify that? If so, which is preferred? I find "old" quite vague and would prefer "historic", but the former occurs more often.
Parts of ...
Most files are not actually maps, but parts thereof. Other categories have a subcategory "Parts of [old|historic] maps of ...". Would that make sense here, too?
Vicinity of Frankfurt
There is currently a subcategory for Langen, a small community, which is rather unlikely to grow substantially. Can we rename that to "[Old|Historic] maps of the vicinity of Frankfurt am Main", so that that category could hold such [parts of] maps as File:Meyers5_Frankfurt_Fischbach.png?
Areas without subcategory
There are currently 182 files in this category, most of them don't fit into the existing subcategories. Would it make sense to create more subcategories to hold them? If so, should those continue using modern borders, in which case we would have "[Old|Historical] maps of smaller places in the regierungsbezirk of [Darmstadt|Gießen|Kassel]", or should we attempt something similar to "[Old|Historic] maps of the vicinity of Frankfurt am Main"? The latter is not so easy in Hesse, since many regions are not defined by a major city.
