The high priority foreign language of this topic is Japanese. A large expatriate population has settled in the city, and the school district, hospital, and some area businesses have Japanese websites. The Detroit Japanese weekend school and the Detroit-area offices of a Japanese expat newspaper headquartered near Chicago (en:Arlington Heights, Illinois to be exact) are in Novi.

There is also an Indian population: There is a Telugu-speaking Hindu temple and there used to be an Indian movie theater. Because many Indians come in with high English fluency the Indian languages have a lower priority compared to Japanese. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:22, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
