Oppose Commons naming standard would yield: Category:Miltary aircraft of North American Aviation

Then it should be moved to that, then. The current title is unacceptably ambiguous. - The Bushranger (talk) 15:38, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Logically, the title should be Aircraft of North American Aviation, because it is individual aircraft that are military or civilian, not aircraft types. There are many aircraft of types such as P-51D or T-6, that are owned by civilians, piloted by civilians under civilian regulatory regimes, so they are not military aircraft. 'Military aircraft' is itself ambiguous (if not downright incorrect) in this context.PeterWD (talk) 08:31, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they are still military aircraft. If an aircraft was designed for use by the military, it is a military aircraft, regardless of its current owner. - The Bushranger (talk) 20:18, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
