- This is an unsourced assertion. It's very easy to find on the web various definitions of nonmetals, as in books. The change you propose would not help to find media, on the contrary. --Juiced lemon 21:37, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Here's a reputable source: http://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/icl/dermot/nonmetals/lecture1/default1.html. It's lecture notes from Oxford University's Department of Chemistry. This is an acceptably good source. Some dodgy website run by an amateur is not good enough.
There are no books that support your crazy definition of nonmetals. Leave this to proper chemists who know what they are talking about. Why not concentrate on topics you are actually an expert in?

- This source is worthless:
- obsolete pages with ineffective links
- no references, no signature
- hydrogen is forgotten, while most websites and books count hydrogen with nonmetal elements.
