Category talk:Nautical charts by country

By area or by publisher?

Could somebody in the know create a description? Are the per-country categories for charts of areas belonging to those countries, for charts published by a body of those countries, or both?

I assume at least the area is relevant – you may want a chart of an area without having a preference on the publisher – but there are charts covering a sea or a large part of it, and those might fit in a lot of per-country categories. You might also want to keep a series from one publisher together. Perhaps other category hierarchies are better for those needs, but this needs to be described somewhere and pointed to from here.
