What's the difference between Category:NDSM and Category:Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij, Amsterdam? Is NDSM for purely modern, post-industrial content? Do they need to be labelled as such? Renamed? Merged? Should the ship launchings recently added be moved to Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij? - Hm, seem the be more or less the same. NDSM is he abbreviation for Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij. But I do not really know. On the Dutch Wikipedia NDSM is the lemma for the area of the former shipbuilding company. Bardenoki (talk) 12:13, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
- The bulk of the shipbuilding is at Category:Ships built at Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij, Amsterdam (thanks for that), and the main need would seem to be to split those from new images of today.
- I am assuming that "NDSM" is the contemporary name for the area. In which case I'd be happy to keep all three. Category:Nederlandsche Dok en Scheepsbouw Maatschappij, Amsterdam for the older images, with Category:NDSM for today (and the parent cat). They'd both need a paragraph of heading description.
- Or if anyone feels strongly, we could redirect one to the other. Andy Dingley (talk) 18:36, 26 October 2018 (UTC)
