Wrong tag or contradictory tags?

[edit]

Musopen now releases music into the public domain, which means attribution is not needed. Shouldn't we update the tags for files in this category?? Raysonho (talk) 04:39, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think so since some tags are contradictory when they are on the same page. This page is an example: . One tag/template says "This work has been released into the public domain by its author, Daniel Veesey. This applies worldwide." and another one says at the same time "The copyright holder of this file allows anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that the copyright holder is properly attributed." I think I'll do some research on which tags came first and which followed... Logictheo (talk) 19:24, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just as a note. The page I referred to earlier got the notice "This work has been released into the public domain by its author, Daniel Veesey. This applies worldwide." at 17:59, 22 August 2008. Now an edit by user User:Mattes at 17:48, 27 September 2009 adds the text "The copyright holder of this file allows anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that the copyright holder is properly attributed.". I'll try to ask Mattes about it. Logictheo (talk) 19:33, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fix source URLs

[edit]

This is awesome. The source URLs in the File page for all the selections I clicked has a generic or wrong URL, it should be something like http://www.musopen.com/music.php?type=piece&id=93 (music.php, not view.php). Without fixing this, the fine musicians performing are almost invisible. -- Skierpage (talk) 03:56, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

HTML is going to die. The php codes are coming. Anotherwords, Musopen has changed their codes and a Bots need to get a lf request@Commons:Bots/Work requests -- dunno if that's possible though. --Mattes (talk) 20:51, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
