Object move: "Lucerne Needle Dam" to "Category:Nadelwehr (Lucerne)"

[edit]

I object the rename. Thats like moving "Hoover Dam" to "Dam (Hoover)". Rehman(+) 00:39, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a reference for the current name?  Docu  at 04:42, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Over 330,000 results for Lucerne Needle Dam. The dam is also called "Needle Dam, Lucerne", "Needle Dam of Lucerne", etc.
Nadelwehr simply means Needle Dam. And is referred to as such only by the locals.
We could choose any of the other English naming styles, but not the nadelwehr name. Simply because it is more popular by the English name, and also per COM:LP. Then again, if you compare the other English naming styles, the current seems to be the best. Rehman(+) 10:52, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think you missed the quotes in your search. As at Wikipedia, a google link is not a reference.  Docu  at 11:27, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To be consistent, if you want absolutely to use a German name, you should use Luzern too. So we better don't rename ... --Foroa (talk) 15:38, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
