Delmaet and Durandelle

[edit]

The firm of Hyacinthe-César Delmaet (1828–1862) and Louis-Emile Durandelle (1839–1917) was established circa 1860 in Paris and continued to operate after Delmaet's death, when his widow Clémence Jacob inherited his interest and Durandelle continued producing photographs. The firm was designated principal photographer of the new Opéra from 1864 to 1869. Reference: note 13, p. 300, in Mead, Christopher Curtis (1991).
