Lepidoptera of Oxfordshire by family

[edit]

@Charlesjsharp, I have just finished to categorize all images of Lepidoptera in Oxfordshire by family (with many marvellous photos taken by you). There are just two images of unidentified lepidoptera in the main category. The 1st - no idea, the 2nd, called "Caterpillar attack" looks for me like Aglais io. Another question: Why there are just a very few images existing of Papilionidae from UK? Is this family not common on the Islands? Here in Germany you can see them very often. sincerely anro (talk) 14:41, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The only swallowtail butterfly occurs in a small part of England for a few weeks in late May and early June. Charlesjsharp (talk) 12:08, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
