I have cleaned up this category, putting the identified animals into more specific categories and the ones I could not identify into Category:Unknown Lepidoptera or Unknown "Family". Now there are all these drawings and schemes that I believe should go to some category. Any suggestions?

Then I think some featured pictures of Lepidoptera could be put into the category to make it easier for people searching for good pictures of butterflies and moths in general. Is this usually done?

I wait for answers to take these actions. Leonardo Ré-Jorge 14:59, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

un-usable category

[edit]

This is the most user-unfriendly, no, the most un-usable category I have ever seen. It has a name that no ordinary person has ever heard of (despite the existence of the word "butterflies"), and every single subcategory does not give away at all what is behind it. No guide (except maybe "by country" etc., but that's probably unavoidable even here), no nothing. Sorry to sound so harsh, but I'm simply astonished that someone would set up such a category system for a service such as Commons that targets ordinary people. In my humble opinion: Sad. Good luck to all those who still want to use it, Ibn Battuta 19:13, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is name is probably the one most people understand. We are multilingual, remember. And it's the name of the English Wikipedia's article. Rocket000(talk) 01:17, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
