Category talk:Larix decidua (cultivated)

What is the definition of "cultivated". I noticed that "my" wood samples from trees in Sweden was moved here. Those trees are not ornamental but growing far out in the forest. In late 19:th and early 20:th century it was common practice to mix some percent Larix decidua seeds in the ordinary Pinus (and/or Picea) seeds in order to produce Larch wood in the future. So in a way, if those trees are cultivated indeed maybe 90 percent of the Scandinavian pine and spruce forests contains only cultivated trees... If so this category should at least not be a subcategory to "Ornamental trees", I think. But I would prefer not containing trees intended for timber production and found in ordinary forests, in this category. Taxelson (talk) 20:49, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Anything which isn't natural, i.e., not within the species' native range. Up to you if you want to remove Category:Ornamental trees, or add it to a forestry category, instead. - MPF (talk) 11:06, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
