Should category names be based on local idioms?
[edit]I suggest this category is innappropriately named. "Laker" is a local idiom. I suggest it is inapropriate for an international project.
Category:Lake Freighter or Category:Lake Freighters is a far more appropriate name. It does not require any understanding of local idiom to determine its meaning. Geo Swan (talk) 00:29, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- Lake freighters (lakers) have historically been a distinctive style of boat, not just one used in any lake. In no case should this be expanded to African boats. Rmhermen (talk) 16:07, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
Request sounds reasonable. Maybe there should be undercatoriries for the northern american Great Lakes and other Lakes - when there would come those images. Marcus Cyron (talk) 00:09, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
