Renaming

Renaming this category to Cartoons by Latuff about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would be a very bad idea since it's a category for cartoons about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict regardless of artist. // Liftarn (talk) 15:18, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I think the overall category is needed since Latuff is not the only person who has made political cartoons about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Many newspaper, magazine, and web cartoonists have done so.

A subcategory called Category:Israeli-Palestinian conflict cartoons by Latuff would be fine by me. --Timeshifter (talk) 20:27, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, the only cartoons uploaded here are Latuff's. Actually it shows that most Commons' users are responsible enough not to use the Commons a a soapbox. If this trend changes, it will be regrettable, but we'll deal with it with adding the proper categories. Currently there is no reason for a global category. Drork (talk) 05:54, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I think that was a bad idea since we now have an empty parent category. You shouldn't create needless catageories. // Liftarn (talk)

That is true in principle, but not a major problem. I agree with the move, but it may have made this category unnecessary. One should try to find some free images by notable cartoonists (difficult). /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 11:43, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
