Synonyms I. cincinnata, I. phaeocomis & I. obscura
[edit]Funga Nordica identifies two taxa below the species level: Inocybe cincinnata var. cincinnata (= I. phaeocomis var. phaeocomis) and Inocybe cincinnata var. major ( = I. obscura = I. phaeocomis var. major).[1] Species Fungorum backs up the synonymy of the three species names.[2] It is true that older books sometimes distinguish these names, but I think that the current view is clearly that they are synonyms.
