Rename category?
[edit]I think this category, Category:Hidden Lake (Mount Rainier National Park, Pierce County, Washington) should be renamed Category:Hidden Lake (Pierce County, Washington). Mount Rainier National Park doesn't require disambiguation. The usual practice is to disambiguate lakes by county and state in the United States. --Walter Siegmund (talk) 16:18, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
- Pierce County has two lakes named “Hidden Lake”. One is in MRNP, and one in Lakewood, WA. What can we do in this case? — Steven P. (talk) 11:17, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- A GNIS search finds two in Pierce County. The second is on the Greenwater River. Google Maps gives the designation to a putative private lake near Lake Tapps. If it is distinct from the second lake you found, that is a total of four.[1][2] We don't create empty categories, for the most part. No action is required until media for one of the other lakes is added. GNIS disambiguates lakes in the same county by surface elevation in feet. --Walter Siegmund (talk) 16:30, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
