Purple Gynuras

[edit]

Gynura procumbens a.k.a. Gynura sarmentosa is a green-leafed plant eaten as a vegetable. Gynura aurantiaca is the purple-haired ornamental plant. As far as I've been able to determine, only Gynura aurantiaca is purple. The problem is that Gynura aurantiaca is the only species most people encounter, so they don't know the difference.
