The Louvre has rearranged their collections. These room numbers no longer apply. Unless someone objects, I intend to remove them and reclassify them under more general terms. Ancient Greek, Archaic Greek, Classical Greek statues in the Louvre. Zmorgan (talk) 15:48, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I do object. Some rooms are closed because of the creation of the new Department of Islamic art, but it does not mean that room numbers no longer apply. Most exhibits haven't moved an inch. On the other hand, a general categorization is needed indeed, but I believe there should be both, as is the case for exhibits in category:British Museum. There is a discussion about a big redesign of the category tree about the Louvre going on Commons_talk:WikiProject_Museums#Louvre_overhaul. Your input would be most welcome there. Thanks. By the way, I have seen many of your images on Wikipedia. You do beautiful work. I think the idea for additional categories makes good sense. I will check out the discussion. Also, is there a reason why the categories on Greek Antiquities do not match? When found under museums, the art is classified as Greek antiquities. When found under art, it is classified as Ancient Greek art. Zmorgan (talk) 16:44, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
