Regarding Categorizing Mountain Ranges

[edit]

In order to make things more simple, I have categorized some mountain ranges under this page. This ecoregion refers to the "sky island" phenomenon where conifers, aspens, etc exist, as well as the tundras found in the Great Basin region. But when we consider the mountain range as a whole, there will inevitably be some parts of it that don't fit this profile. In a lot of these pages, there are images of content that do not pertain to Great Basin Montane Forests. It is possible to select individual images that fit the theme of this page, but in some cases this will mean dozens of images from a single page. I'm not sure if this is a desirable thing or not. I would like to pose the question to anyone willing to weigh in about whether I should select individual images or instead to leave the parent mountain range on this page.

As an example, a lot of content on "Ruby Mountains" pertains to Great Basin Montane Forests, but not all of the images in that category are relevant to the topic of this page. Should I then remove "Ruby Mountains" and select individual images? Z3lvs (talk) 22:56, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
