Category talk:Gay erotic art

Doubt about this category

I think the concept of "erotic" is so open to subjective evaluation that in the future we might get caught in endless discussions about a certain piece of art being or being not "Erotic". Furthermore, I would not use the term "gay" dealing with the past, pace John Boswell. Perhaps something like "same sex" whatever might be better? I have not a firm opinion on the matter, so I express my doubt here asking for a debate. --User:G.dallorto 13:00, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

I take this name because there was a Category:Gay sex and Category:Lesbic sex. Yes, for old pics the name is a little difficult. You know a better one? Or both Cats in Category:Same-sex erotic? Category:Same-sex erotic should fill with very intimate or full nakedness pics between Category:Same-sex couples and Category:Same-sex sexuality (See there Gay & Lesb). The problem is that we never had a clear discussion about how to categorise LGBT items here. So I take for granted that "same sex" does not refer to "intimate" same sex images, it merely refers to same sex images of any kinds. I suppose we may not decide in two people, perhaps a general discussion in the village pump is necessary? --User:G.dallorto 10:47, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
