Rename request

[edit]

This is a great idea. Harmonizing with the rest of the brands is the right thing to do. Herranderssvensson (talk) 10:12, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@142.93.155.247 and Herranderssvensson: However the linked article of de:Wiki mentions Ford Station Wagon - Serie as a proper name of a specific model of Ford from 1955–1968, not as a general term for all "station wagon" models of Ford. However, the article is not just conform with the content of the Commons category. This needs a clarification. --ŠJů (talk) 15:49, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ŠJů: Or: Instead of replacing "Category:Ford Station Wagon series" with "Category:Ford station wagons", make "Category:Ford Station Wagon series" a sub category to a new top category "Category:Ford station wagons". Herranderssvensson (talk) 17:49, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Herranderssvensson: If somebody is able to recognize which files belongs to the subcategory and which to the parent category. --ŠJů (talk) 18:47, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the rename, but as I mentioned in the CfD talk page, "Ford Station Wagon series seems to refer to the full-size station wagons (Del Rio, Ranch Wagon, Country Sedan, Country Squire, etcetera...). Despite what ŠJů suggests though, these wagons continued past 1968. In fact the Country Squire name survives well into 1991. ----DanTD (talk) 17:34, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
