On the supercategory for Flight control systems

[edit]

Huntster, I'd like your opinion on something. Now that "grid fins" are a subcat here, properly so I might add (thanks for doing that), it seems like the cat that this subcat is in may not be correct.

Currently: Cat Flight control surfaces is in the supercat of Aircraft flight control systems.

But with the recent changes, I believe this is no longer correct. Since grid fins are not used a aircraft flight control surfaces, but only on rockets and launch vehicles, then clearly all Flight control surfaces are not Aircraft flight control systems.

I'm not sure how to fix it. One way would be to reverse the two cats: make Aircraft flight control systems the subcat and Flight control systems the supercat. But there may be other/better ways to fix it. What do you think?

N2e, sorry for the delay, it never notified me of your ping. One idea would be to rename the parent category to "Flight control systems", dropping "Aircraft". However, you have parent cats of *that* category which say "Aircraft". There's no good way of going about this unless you want to reorder the entire category tree; at some point you have to ask if it is worth the time. I wouldn't bother with it.
