[edit]I disagree (again). "São Paulo" is also the name of the state. If there's any doubt about it let's just put a note. We don't need to disambiguate this category and I'm tired of writing this. Raphael Lorenzetomsg 12:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Look at these Internet sites:
- http://www.cityofsaopaulo.com/: “São Paulo” is written in large print, then “city of” is just an extra detail in small print
- http://www.saopaulo.sp.gov.br/: “Governo do Estate de São Paulo” is written in large print, with “São Paulo” in bold.
- So, even for Portuguese people, “São Paulo” alone is the city, and “State of São Paulo” is needed to refer to the state. My proposal complies both with the common sense and the Commons rules. --Juiced lemon 13:56, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- This is not working. First of all I need you to do not revert without a consensus (not with me, but with other users). We need to concentrate this discution to be easy for other Portuguese users to opine. In the end, if you move Category:New York City to Category:New York and Category:New York to Category:New York (state) I will agree with "São Paulo (state)".
