Scovel Memorial

My husband's family donated the land and helped finance this beautiful church. The Scovel family was greatly involved in the church and once built, the congregation named the church Scovel Memorial to forever remember the love and devotion the Scovel's had for God, the church, and the city of Detroit. We would like to see the Scovel name returned to this holy church, so that we continue to honor the legacy the Scovel's created. As community members and devout Christians, they remain an example of what great things can be accomplished when hearts and minds turn towards God. Our ancestor's dedication to God, community, and selflessness serves as an example to us, the living. Please help us honor those that came before and left such a loving reminder to all that is good in us. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
