Why does this category even exist, especially at such a high level? It should be very granular if at all. Broichmore (talk) 17:28, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

i agree. i suggest we delete the whole tree Category:Film locations by film. otherwise places like Category:Grand Central Terminal and Category:Ladder Street would have super long lists of cats.--RZuo (talk) 19:12, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Closing as delete. Per discussion here, use as a film location is usually not a defining characteristic of a location. Categorization of filming locations under a media should be reserved for the few locations where substantial changes made for filming are visible (like Category:Onk Jmel), where the location is only notable for its filming use (like Category:"Home Alone" house), or where a defining feature of the location in the cultural consciousness is its use in certain media (like Category:Rocky Steps). Otherwise, locations should be listed on the article about the production and/or on Wikidata using P915, both of which allow for the needed citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pi.1415926535 (talk • contribs) 2021-01-25 21:42:44 (UTC)
