Persian vs. Iranian
[edit]Hello. I created the Category:Persian cuisine, because I wanted to collect more pictures and info on this particular cuisine. In this respect I wanted to incorporate Category:Cuisine of Iran in this new category, but wanted to hear some opinions first.
- As I see it Persian cuisine is a bit broader than just Iranian cuisine, as present day Iran is smaller than the old Persian empire fx.. This suggest a 'yes' to put this category under Category:Persian cuisine.
- On the other hand Persia does not exist any more and the modern day culture (and cuisine) of Iran, might be very different from the traditional Persian cuisine I guess? This suggest a 'no' for putting this category under Category:Persian cuisine. It would need some explanation at least.
Hope there will be some constructive inputs and if ref~'s are needed, then please put them in also, so we all can learn something from the discussion and not just exchange 'opinions'. Cheers!
