Question: What is the Latin name for gherkins?

@Gerrit, Ies, Liné1, and CarolSpears: I saw your names as editors for this category, so I hope you can help me. I am looking for the Latin name for the raw little cucumbers that gherkins are made of. - Thanks, Liné1, for your answer. But in Category:Cucumis sativus are a lot of different types of cucumbers: long ones, small ones, even yellow ones, and so on. Does it mean that they all have the same scientific name or should some files in this category be moved to other categories? JopkeB (talk) 15:44, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
