Definition of this category: FYI, "cross stitch" is a specific kind of embroidery that a) uses square cross stitches of the same size throughout the pattern and b) (usually) counted thread fabric. It is and has been very popular because it is easy to do. This category should NOT include other stitches with crossed threads that do not meet criteria (a) and (b). These stitches, such as herringbone stitch and basket stitch, belong in the category "Embroidery stitches." Downtowngal (talk) 22:40, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
