Television view of NFL football games

[edit]

I am trying to understand why the 15-30 seconds that lapse during 'kickoff' is not able to be seen by the television viewers. Surely, this short amount of time cannot be so costly that game sponsors are negative about those seconds not to be seen. In that short amount of time: the football is in play, players are on the field (even if they are 'the special teams'), and action is going on that is a part of the whole game! TV viewers do not get to see ANY of that! Only folks lucky enough to be attending the game in person see what is going on, perhaps catch a tremendous play, like a 'runback' (the ball being run all the way back for a touchdown, or exceptional amount of yardage! WHY??? Whose not 'brilliant' idea does this belong to? And how can that be changed? You are not only cheating the TV audiences, you are cheating the players also. Sure, they are 'special teams', but they work and train just as much as the other players! Surely, 10 seconds here from a couple of commentors' time, your 'armchair quarterbacks', could be trimmed back, and allow the rest of us to see the WHOLE football game. Commercials already 'eat' up enough of game time as it is. We don't even get to see all of the playbacks, due to someone talking, or a commercial.
