It is ok to leave a redirect. Take for example the entry at the Dictionary of Irish Architecture where the cathedral is refered to as CATHEDRAL OF ST MARY (RC). This follows the tradition as the ancient cathedral of Elphin was dedicated to St. Mary and not to one of the founding saints, i.e. St. Patrick or St. Assicus. But following 19th-century tradition, the cathedral was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. The full name is the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary but this is commonly abbreviated to Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. --AFBorchert (talk) 22:43, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
