The United States BEP prepared and issued Cuban silver certificates (Certificados de Plata) in eight series (1934, 1936, 1936A, 1938, 1943, 1945, 1948, and 1949). Cuban money before 1898 was Spanish, ergo in public domain

Before Cuba became independent from Spain in 1898, Spanish law applied. Therefore, all banknotes of Spanish Cuba are in the public domain, as stated in Template:PD-SpanishGov-money. --Hispalois (talk) 20:08, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
