Please don't re-add category:Vladimir Shukhov. First, V.S. was not employed on the project. Second, cage towers of these ships were not of Shukhov's hyperboloid design. A closer look clearly shows that they are made of vertical beams and horizontal hoops; the beams don't cross each other as they should do in Shukhov's design. Not a hyperboloid - a truncated cone, and quite poorly engineered. They turned out too flimsy to be of any use, so in 1914 they were cut down. NVO (talk) 18:32, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
