Location
[edit]Abraure is a small village located in Arjeplog Municipality, close to Lake Ábrávrre. The photos of Asbjørn Nesheim from 1948 are taken on the opposite side of the lake from the actual village, in a place called Granudden. Several of these photos are said to have been taken in Arvidsjaur, but this is not correct. The location has been checked with relatives of the people on the photos.--Skogsfrun (talk) 05:42, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Skogsfrun: If you know the local situation, then please change file's descriptions which are wrong--Estopedist1 (talk) 05:06, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not quite sure about how to do that. The location is indicated in two rows of the description. The first is "depicted place", where a Q-code is used. I'm not familiar with them. The other is in the original description of Norsk Folkemuseum, and as far as I have understood, the idea of including the original description is that it should not be changed. I'm therefore not sure about how to do this. However, I have added coordinates to the files, so locations can be found on a map.--Skogsfrun (talk) 06:34, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Skogsfrun: you are right, it is not an easy case. Probably in this case, it is rational to contact with museum and tell them, that files are misidentified and with wrong titles. If museum fixes names, then we can easily copy the new names to Wikimedia Commons--Estopedist1 (talk) 05:26, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
