The Whyte classification was developped for steam engines.
But it is applicable for Electrical- and Diesel-Locomotives too. I've put the Swiss crocodiles as a "Test balloon" on this page.
- Shall these locomotives be added to the Whyte classification too? Answer on my discussion tab. We then should separate the classification page into subcategories Steam, Electric and Diesel (and Hybrids ;-) Lord Koxinga (talk) 19:22, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
