Clipper was a registered make of the Studebaker-Packard Corporation for 1956 only. Production of the Clipper Custom (i.e. Clipper's top model) ended when the Executive was introduced. Thus, Packard got a "Junior" line again. This was done mainly in response of dealer complaints who found it easier to sell small Packards than big Clippers. Clipper logo was the former ship's helm motiv, which was used unchanged in 1957 as the Packard Clipper motiv.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 19:34, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi CTC why did you remove the note of the above from the top section? Eddaido (talk) 02:02, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
