Known both as Zampognari or Pifferari, even if they seem the same subject, especially looking at 19th century art and photos there is an important difference that can't be forgotten. The zampognari are usually the ones who play the Zampogna, an instrument that seem a bagpipe and the Pifferari (pifferai), are the fife (piffero) players, an instrument similar to the oboe.
