"Yeshivas" are typically places for young men for studying Torah (instructed by rabbis). Those established in the post-1967 Judea, Samaria and Gaza Israeli communities commonly play an important role in the colonization ethos for these territories, by asserting the religious-Jewish affiliation to the disputed exterritorial area through pedagogy and attracting more young believer families that enhance the communal life in the smaller and more isolated places.
