There were several American motor vehicle manufacturers which used the Wolverine brand name.

This Wolverine was built in 1927 and 1928 only, and manufactured by the REO Motor Car Company of Lansing, Michigan. The only model was the Wolverine Six. It was an inexpensive companion to REO's Flying Cloud passenger car line. Built as an assembled car on a short 114 in. wheelbase, it featured a 199 c.i., 50 HP Continental engine, Borg & Beck clutch, Warner gear, Salisbury axles, and REO Flyig Cloud bodies from behind the cowl. Initialy, body styles were limited to a brougham, but soon a sedan and a convertible coupe were added. A coupe was announced, but did not appear. The car had its own front styling and badging. Production ended when REO split the Flying Cloud range in two subseries in 1929. The Flying Cloud Master was the continuation of the former model, and a smaller Flying Cloud Mate succeeded the Wolverine Six.
