English: Wingate Sandstone cliffs — of the Colorado Plateau Province (physiographic), in the southwestern United States.
- Wingate Sandstone is the bottom member of the 4-unit Glen Canyon Group, is only found in southwestern Utah and northern Arizona.
- The common Glen Canyon Group sequence is:
- Navajo Sandstone (cliffs) — Jurassic, Upper Triassic (topmost and thickest member)
- Kayenta Formation (bedded cliffs) — Upper Triassic
- Moenave Formation — Mesozoic.
- Wingate Sandstone (vertical columnar cliffs) — Middle Triassic (bottom member)
